  • Writing Academic Articles: Strategies for Success, 
    Helen Crompton, Executive Director, Research Institute of Digital Innovation in Learning (RIDIL), Professor of Instructional Technology

    This presentation will cover the academic writing process. From starting the paper to choosing the journal. Come and learn about concrete strategies to help you successfully write and publish.
     
  • Writing with Co-Authors, 
    Holly Gaff, Professor and Chair of Biology
    11:00-11:30am: 
    It can be challenging enough to figure out how you best can get writing done, but it is even harder when you have to work with co-authors. We will cover some basic options for how to bring a paper together with other people whether they are near or far.
     
  • Book Publishing, 
    Annette Finley-Croswhite, Director, Center for Faculty Development, Professor of History
  • 11:30-12:00 noon: 
    This presentation will cover the ins and outs of book publishing. Learn the best strategies for getting your manuscript accepted, especially for those tenure track positions that require book publication.
     
  • 12:00-12:30pm BREAK
     
  • Open Write
    12:30pm-2:00pm: Stay online on September 22nd after the program ends and work independently on your research and writing.
